Stream Violet
Viola glabella
Description: A low growing perennial to 50cm, with heart shaped, pointed leaves that are 3-5cm across and are dark and shiny green.  The flowers are 5 petaled, the lower 3 with purple lines.
Ecology: Grows in moist forests, clearings and along streams, common at all elevations.   
Notes: This plant was found at the edge of Wakefield Creek in Sechelt, BC in May, 2001.
